01 // The Short Version

The speaker who kept getting asked for the tools.

Sam Richter has delivered more than a hundred paid keynotes a year for thirty years. He is one of fewer than 300 speakers worldwide inducted into the National Speakers Association Professional Speaker Hall of Fame (CPAE). He holds the Certified Speaking Professional (CSP) designation, held by the top ten percent of professional speakers globally. And he is a member of the Million Dollar Group.

He got there the same way he teaches other speakers to get there: not by mass-blasting cold lists or buying database access, but by running a daily prospecting routine so disciplined it became a system. Find the conferences that pay. Identify the executives who book them. Lead with a message relevant enough that they answer the email.

That system is the Intel Engine. When fellow speakers kept asking him to teach them the workflow, Sam productized it. Then the sales teams at Microsoft, FedEx, Best Buy, Coca-Cola, and Charles Schwab asked for versions built for their industries. Then the associations asked. Then the recruiters. The Intel Engine family now spans speakers, sales leaders, and enterprise teams — all running the same core research infrastructure Sam built to book his own next keynote.

“I'm a huge fan of the First Amendment. I just don't like the 'free speech' part.” — Sam Richter

02 // Recognition

Credentials, credentials, and a really good book.

The Intel Engine works because it was built by someone who has spent thirty years doing the work it now automates. That distinction is either interesting or it isn't — but for the speakers who are paying to rent the system, it tends to matter.

The Book

Take the Cold Out of Cold Calling is now in its twelfth edition. The American Association of Inside Sales Professionals named it Sales Book of the Year. It's also a USA Book News Winner and a Sales Book Awards Silver Medalist. More importantly for this site: it established the Know More! methodology that anchors Sam's keynote programs and every product SBR Worldwide has shipped since — including the Intel Engine you're deciding whether to try.

03 // What Sam Built

SBR Worldwide, and the Intel Engine family.

Sam is founder and CEO of SBR Worldwide, LLC, the holding company for a growing family of AI-powered digital insight products used by sales teams, professional speakers, recruiters, and associations. The Intel Engine is the flagship — a search-and-research workflow that runs complex Boolean queries across the live web, then uses AI to score results for relevance, decision-making authority, and likelihood-to-pay.

The Intel Engine Family

The same core infrastructure powers IntelNgin.com (the flagship), SalesIntelEngine.ai for B2B sales leaders, SpeakerIntelEngine.com for professional speakers, and private-label editions like ExpressProsIntel.com for enterprise clients. Each surfaces the tools and prompts that specific audience actually uses — without the noise of features built for other industries.

The Learning Platform

All of it lives inside Know More University, the SBR-owned education platform on Teachable. Members get single-sign-on access to their Intel Engine plus the broader Know More! sales curriculum. One login, every tool.

Beyond the Engine

Sam has also created Certified AI 360, a Generative AI training and certification program built on his AI Mindset SHIFT™ methodology; YouGotIntel, a free library of business-intel search tools; GPTFollowUp.com, an AI-powered sales follow-up tool; and SearchLink.ai, a custom enterprise intel platform. The through-line: making high-quality digital intelligence available to non-technical professionals who need it every week.

04 // Earlier Career

Six years running the world's largest business library.

Before he was a Hall of Fame speaker and before the Intel Engine existed, Sam was president of the James J. Hill Center, one of the largest business libraries in the country. He spent six years transforming an eighty-five-year-old private non-profit into a nationally renowned institution serving entrepreneurs and small businesses through cutting-edge online research tools.

That's where the Know More! methodology was born — and where Sam learned that the difference between winning a deal and losing one is almost always the quality of the pre-call research. That insight is what the Intel Engine now automates.

Prior to the Hill Center, Sam spent eighteen years in advertising, PR, and e-commerce, running his own firm and leading marketing programs for Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Major League Baseball, Polaris Industries, and National Geographic. He was also a Codie Award winner for Best E-Commerce Software — often called the "Oscars" of the software industry.

05 // Personal

Minnetonka, Minnesota.
Two kids. One dog.

Sam received his B.A. from the University of Minnesota School of Journalism and Mass Communication, where he was twice named Scholastic All-American as a four-year player and a letter winner on the varsity football team. His postgraduate education includes certificates in Executive Leadership from the University of St. Thomas and in Corporate Boards of Director Ethical Leadership from Saint Mary's University.

Sam lives in Minnetonka, Minnesota, with his wife and two children. He serves on the boards of Brandpoint (a content marketing and earned-media platform) and Argos Risk (third-party risk intelligence software), and on the board of Mental Health Navigators, a national non-profit supporting parents of children experiencing mental health issues. He built the nationally renowned Mental Health Resource Search Engine for the organization pro bono — the same underlying technology as the Intel Engine, applied to a very different problem.
